ETC. Harnk! Harnk.com was started by my pal, Jeff Fuson and I. Every now and then, we get together for beers and our usual rants about the world at large. Harnk was born on one such evening. (I'm blaming the India pale ale.) Both of us being idea people, we thought it was time to create our own place to share our brand of insanity with the rest of the world. It's still rather early and neither of us have any idea what it will grow into, but we're having fun with it. Hope you do, too. Look for goofy ideas from bumper stickers to T-shirt designs and other swag from Jeff and I. And sometimes, I will make available some of the illustrations you see on this site and others from my collection. Oh I'm all for self investigation and examination, don't get me wrong. The thing is, I've seen too much misuse of MBTI and too much reliance on its somewhat wishy-washy scientific validity. I still believe Jung, et al were on the right track with this and gave it a decent start. I just think it comes up woefully short in categorizing personality, let alone explaining personality. People are using this to find a mate, find a job, give themselves justification for all kinds of dumb behavior, which I think is a terribly idiotic way to go through life. Nonetheless, it's still fun, if you keep it fun and not take it all too seriously. So there. Yours truly, Tom Gieseke, ENTP... or whatever.
